Role Overview The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for responding to technical inquiries, resolving IT problems, and providing exceptional support to ensure all employees can perform their duties efficiently. You should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a dedication to resolving IT issues promptly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Respond to IT support tickets and assist users in resolving technical problems via phone, email, or in-person.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees by setting up workstations and providing necessary training on IT resources.
- Document and maintain an inventory of IT assets, licenses, and warranties.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements to IT processes and procedures.
- Provide user training and support on various software applications and tools to enhance productivity.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common software applications.
- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Specialist (MCITP), or similar are a plus.
