Role Overview The Cybersecurity Analyst at NEXT will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and incidents to protect our organization�s assets. You�ll utilize a wide range of tools and strategies to safeguard our networks, systems, and data, and will proactively identify and address vulnerabilities. We seek an individual with a strong foundation in security principles, risk management, and incident response who is passionate about staying informed on cybersecurity trends and emerging threats. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a cybersecurity professional to contribute to our security strategy, provide critical insights, and actively mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and investigate potential incidents to determine root cause and severity.
• Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents, coordinating containment and remediation actions with relevant teams.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to proactively identify security risks across the organization�s networks and systems.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect organizational assets and minimize risk exposure.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into new and existing systems and projects.
• Maintain and manage threat intelligence sources to stay informed about potential security threats and proactively defend against them.
• Educate and train employees on security awareness to foster a culture of security across the organization.
• Prepare detailed reports on security events, incidents, and identified vulnerabilities, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the IT and engineering teams to enhance security architecture and implement necessary protective measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor�s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in areas such as incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and vulnerability assessment software.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex security data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting security findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are preferred.
