Role Overview The UX Researcher will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and developers to understand user needs and behaviors. You should have expertise in UX research methods, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for understanding user behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and contextual inquiries.
- Analyze research data to identify user needs, preferences, and pain points, translating findings into actionable insights for the design team.
- Collaborate with product teams to define research objectives and integrate user feedback into the product development process.
- Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate user insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and presentations to share research findings and promote a user-centered design approach across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX research and apply them to enhance our research methodologies.
- Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for user experience and contribute to measuring the success of design initiatives.
- Maintain a user research repository to document findings and insights for future reference.
- Support the design team in creating prototypes and conducting iterative testing to refine user interfaces.
- Advocate for users by representing their needs and perspectives in discussions with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in UX research or related roles, with a proven track record of conducting successful user research projects.
- Strong understanding of UX research methods and techniques, including usability testing, surveys, and user interviews.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey research findings to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in research tools and software (e.g., UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, SurveyMonkey) and data analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, with a focus on improving user experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
